Building Bridges of Hope

Peace to Parents lifted my family out of crisis with compassion, providing the support, resources, and hope we needed to rebuild our lives."

Our Story
Founded by Deanna Williams, Peace to Parents was born out of a deep commitment to supporting and empowering families facing life's most difficult challenges. Deanna’s journey began in 2013 as a social worker, where she witnessed firsthand the struggles of single-parent households fighting to stay afloat. From parents fighting to keep a roof over their heads, to those grappling with the trauma of violence and instability, Deanna walked beside them, listening to their stories and learning from their strength.
It was through these experiences that Deanna recognized not only the incredible resilience of these families but also the heartbreaking gaps in the support systems meant to help them. Many families were left to navigate an overwhelming landscape of challenges on their own, with limited resources and few options for meaningful assistance.
Peace to Parents was created to bridge those gaps, to offer more than just temporary relief, but lasting solutions and a community of support. Through our work, we provide immediate financial relief, access to mental health counseling, and essential resources, all aimed at lifting families out of crisis and into a place of stability.
We believe that every family deserves a chance to thrive—free from the fear of homelessness, financial strain, and emotional exhaustion. And that is why we are here: to empower parents, support children, and create a future filled with hope, resilience, and lasting change.

Success Stories
When the Johnson family entered a shelter, they were overwhelmed and uncertain about their future. Latoya and Marcus, along with their two young children, were struggling after a series of financial setbacks left them without a home.
Through the support of Peace to Parents and our generous donors, the family received immediate assistance and guidance. With help from our housing program, they moved into an affordable apartment, supported by donations that covered initial costs like the deposit and basic furnishings.
Marcus soon found stable work, and Latoya participated in workshops to help manage their finances. The family is now settled and focused on building a more stable future.
This progress was made possible by the kindness of our supporters, helping families like the Johnsons find their footing during difficult times.
